Padding Available

Some dogs have a thin hair coat or very sensitive skin. (My Wire Fox Terrier has allergies and lost all the hair in his arm pits from scratching himself so I understand how hair loss may cause skin problems.) Hair loss may cause the dog to have chaffing or rubbing from the webbing behind their front legs. If your dog has hair loss or their skin becomes red or sore, you may purchase padding to help allieviate this problem. If your dog has allergies to metal, you may find a pad under the rings or the triangles is all you need to stop this allergic reaction.

If you find the straps are rubbing and you want padding, we can send you a padded strap for the girth area or the chest area. This strap will attach using velcro straps or if you prefer, you may mail your Wonder Walker directly to us and we will sew the straps directly to the Body Halter©. Just be sure you have adjusted the straps the way you plan to use them. Once a pads is sewn in place, you will no longer be able to adjust the strap.

We make the pads using the same neoprene material used to make wet suits for divers so you do not have to worry about them getting wet and they are easy to wash and dry.

Girth or Chest Pads

If you wish to order a pad for either the girth strap or the chest strap, we need to know which size Wonder Walker™ Body Halter© your dog is wearing and the exact length of the strap. The pads attach using Velcro straps. If you mail your Wonder Walker™ Body Halter© to us, we will sew them directly to the harness so they will not slip or slide. Measure the strap that fits under the dog’s belly from the top of the triangle on one side to the top of the triangle on the other side. We will custom make the pad to fit. Please also indicate what size Wonder Walker™ Body Halter© your dog is wearing so we know the width of the webbing to fit.

Triangle, Ring, or Buckle Pads

If you only need a pad for under the Rings, Triangles, or the Buckle, we need to know what size Wonder Walker™ Body Halter© your dog is wearing. The pads attach using Velcro straps and we need to make sure they are properly spaced for the width of the webbing in your Wonder Walker™ Body Halter©. If you mail your Wonder Walker™ Body Halter© to us, we will sew them directly to the harness so they will not slip or slide.
